Denver, Colorado- ...EDAW designed a dog park at Stapleton and learned some hard lessons. Even though the developer paid top dollar for engineered soils that were supposed to hold the turf while draining away water, the once green play place has been reduced to a sand lot by intense doggy use. For the downtown project, EDAW selected Ultrablade™ artificial turf for the main dog trot. It's the stuff that usually blankets stadium surfaces. "If this works, it's going to be a great precedent for other dog parks."
