Why does Sprinturf have agronomists on staff?

Agronomy is a very broad field of science and has many applications. An agronomist can be someone studying farming, horticulture, soil sciences, etc. At Sprinturf, we have several degreed agronomists on staff, who specialize in Turf Grass Management. They have spent several years perfecting their craft managing the complexities of golf course management - keeping them green, consistent and dry. Once they were introduced to synthetic turf however, they quickly realized the bright future of this explosive industry. While they had to leave some of their education behind (synthetic surfaces don't need mowing and fertilizing!) they still use much of what they learned to consult with clients on important issues such as drainage and storm water management-two critical areas to ensure a safe, high performance field.

Ray Bernabei - Specialty Products Sales Coordinator

Ray Bernabei received both his Bachelors of Science degree in Professional Golf Management and a Business Minor at Pennsylvania State University. Following internships at Doylestown Country Club in the Philadelphia PGA Section, the Rockaway Hunting Club in the Metropolitan PGA Section, and the River Course at Kiawah Island in the Carolinas PGA Section, Ray continued as a Golf Professional at Cherry Valley Country Club located in the New Jersey PGA Section. Ray brings to Sprinturf his wealth of experience in the customer service industry, specifically in the Private Club setting. At Sprinturf, he will concentrate his efforts in the Specialty Products division.
